8/17: Continents and Oceans

Students will be able to name, label, and locate the seven continents and five oceans.

Activities:
1.  I will show you my website.
2.  Explain how the board is set up.
3.  We will complete the reference section of our journal.
4.  Using the desks, we will draw and label a map of the world from memory.
5.  We will check our work as a class using a PP and complete a correctly labeled map to add into our journal page 1.

Friday we will take a quiz over continents and oceans.

We will be given our assigned seats and go over classroom rules and procedures.  Hand out composition notebooks and begin assembling the reference section.

4/2: Vietnam War / Rapid Fire

Students will be able to explain the causes of and consequences of the Vietnam War.

Activities:
1.  Together we will work on a Vietnam War map.  Copy my annotations and attach map to page .
2.  We will complete graphic notes that cover key events in the Vietnam War.  Once complete attach to page .

3/31: Vietnam War Vocabulary

Students will be able to define key terms associated with the Vietnam War.

3/30: Ceasar Chavez

Students will be able to explain how the efforts of Ceasar Chavez and Dolores Huerta helped shape the Civil Rights movement.
